Bangalore: A Mumbai blast suspect arrested at the Bangalore airport was remanded to police custody till
September 6 even as police maintained that there was no evidence as yet to suggest his links with the
August 25 twin explosions.
"There is no evidence as yet to connect him (Mohammed Fahim) to Mumbai blasts", City Police
Commissioner S Mariswamy said. "We are investigating and probing all aspects".
Police have booked cases against him for violating the passport act. Hailing from Hyderabad, he was
taken into custody on September 1 by immigration officials who found that his passport was fake.
He had given a false address and personal details, police said, adding, Fahim was working as an
electrician in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Tenth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate remanded Fahim to police custody till Sept 6.
