Two policemen injured in Assam bomb blast

Guwahati: Two policemen were injured and their vehicle was destroyed when a bomb, planted by suspected National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants, exploded in Assam's Bongaigaon district on September 6, police said.

The bomb planted on Galengpur road near Indo-Bhutan border exploded when the vehicle was coming from Runikhata area.

The driver Havildar Sireshwar Barua and Constable Gautam Brahma were seriously injured and admitted to the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital.

The blast created a seven-feet-deep crater and destroyed the vehicle, police said.
