JK landmine blast: 2 hurt as bus falls into gorge

Jammu: Militants on September 6 exploded a landmine injuring two persons and damaging an Army bus, which fell into a gorge under the impact of the powerful blast in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The landmine, planted on a link road near Jammu and Kashmir highway at Chirala, 195 kms from Jammu, exploded around 11.45 am (IST), official sources said.

The bus, which had only two occupants, rolled down a 50 feet deep gorge after being damaged in the blast, they said.

The highway was closed for vehicular traffic for almost 20 minutes after the blast and a search operation was launched.
