Girl killed, 7 injured in grenade attack in J&K

Jammu: One minor girl was killed and seven persons seriously injured in an explosion, when militants attacked district police lines in Doda district with a grenade, official sources said.

Militants hurled a grenade on the Doda district police lines and this exploded near the gate around 11:40 hours (IST), the sources said.

In the powerful explosion, one girl died on the spot and seven persons including two special police officers were injured, the sources said, adding two of them are reported to be critical.

The injured were hospitalised, the sources said, and added that a search operation was launched to track down militants responsible for the grenade attack.
