Cartoonist R K Laxman's condition improving
Tuesday, September 9 2003 14:04 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Eminent cartoonist R K Laxman, who is undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for a paralytic stroke, is "responding well to the treatment", family sources said on September 9.

Octogenarian Laxman was shifted from a Pune hospital to Mumbai on September 8 night after he expressed a desire to be closer to his family, living in the city.

"His progress has been satisfactory and he is continuing with his physiotherapy sessions. His hand has shown slight improvement," the sources said.

He has been put on a regular diet, the sources added.
