Digvijay claims to have proof of RSS making bombs
Wednesday, September 10 2003 20:16 Hrs (IST)

Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh on September 10 claimed he has ample proof to establish Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) role in bomb making, as alleged by him recently, and expressed his willingness to send them to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti if she so desired.

Singh told reporters that besides these proofs, he also has statements of some RSS leaders, which show their involvement in anti-social activities.

He said in 1993 at Neemuch town, a bomb blast had occurred and after investigation it was found that RSS leaders were behind the explosion.

Replying to a query, he said if Uma Bharti wants it, he would gladly send all the proof and statement to her and added that these would establish the assertion he had made earlier.

Asked whether the 16 Congress Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in Uttar Pradesh would remain intact, Singh said the Congress legislators would have to choose between dedication and power.

The Chief Minister said Congress president Sonia Gandhi is now likely to lay the foundation of 500 MW thermal power plant at Birsinghpur on September 25 or 26, as the programme was cancelled on September 8 due to inclement weather.
