6 Pak ultras shot dead, infiltration bid foiled

Jammu: Army troops on September 10 foiled an infiltration bid killing six top Pakistani militants along the
line of control (LoC) in Poonch district, official sources said in Jammu.
A group of heavily armed militants dressed in Indian Army fatigue entered the Indian territory under the
cover of Pakistani mortar shelling in Krishnaghati area of the district
around 04:50 hours, the sources told reporters adding Indian troops guarding LoC fired para-bombs
and cordoned entire belt.
They said the militants fired 3 to 4 grenades on Army troops who retaliated resulting in fierce gun battle
in which six top Pak militants were killed.
The operation is still on to nab the ultras and ambush staged in the infiltration route.
Six AK rifles, 13 magazines, 19 grenades, four IEDs, two pistols, 10 pistol magazines, five kgs RDX, 320
rounds and some documents were recovered from the slain militants, the sources said.
