Israel assures Phalcon sale; says move has US nod

New Delhi: Israel will sell three Phalcon Airborne Early Warning System to India, visiting Deputy Prime Minister Joseph Lapid announced on September 10.

"There is no obstacle in the sale of Phalcon as the United States has given its approval," Lapid told reporters.

He, however, said the time-frame for the deal was yet to be finalised.

On the issue of sale of surface-to-air Arrow ballistic missile, Lapid said this missile was developed with US collaboration and Washington was yet to give its approval for sale.
