Hurriyat leader arrested; Rs 9 lakh recovered

Srinagar: Police on September 10 night arrested separatist Hurriyat Conference leader Mohammad Nayeem Khan in Srinagar and recovered from him Rs 9 lakh.

Khan, president of National Front, was picked up at Hyderpora on Srinagar airport road, hours before a convention of his party in Srinagar on September 11, official sources said.

Khan was interrogated by senior police officials who wanted to know the source of the money recovered from him, they said.
