CCS meets ahead of Vajpayee's visit to US

New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Security under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on September 12 held deliberations for over two-and-half hours in South Block.

Meeting for the second time in a space of eight days, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, Defence Minister George Fernandes and External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha.

The meeting of the CCS comes ahead of Vajpayee's visit to the United States to attend the meeting of the UN General Assembly session from September 16.
