This was announced on September 12 by British High Commissioner Sir Rob Young.

Kohli, who lived in Southampton, UK, is believed to have fled to India on March 18, two days after the

Hampshire detectives are liasing with Punjab police who are trying to locate Kohli, he said.
During a "meet the press" programme the photograph of Kohli was also circulated.
Young said the girl was abducted as she walked home alone after a night out with friends in the city of
Southampton on March 14, 2003. Her body was found two days later by a roadside.
