Jodhpur: Rajasthan High Court on September 12 issued notices to editor and publisher of leading
magazine 'India Today' and others on a writ petition seeking a ban of its latest issue, covering subject
of "sexual fantasies".
A Division Bench of the court, consisting of Justice Rajesh Balia and Justice S K Garg, issued notices to
magazine's editor Prabhu Chawla and publisher Arun Poorie besides Living Media Limited, a local book
store and state government through the district collector.
Petitioner B D Purohit, an advocate, alleged the issue containing obscene text and photographs, which
not only attracted Section 293 (sale of obscene objects to young persons) of Indian Penal Code (IPC),
