3 ultras killed near LoC; infiltration bid foiled

Jammu: Three terrorists were killed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir early September 12 as security forces foiled an infiltration bid.

On noticing a group of infiltrators in Pindi area, the security forces challenged it and in the ensuing encounter, three terrorists were killed, security sources said.

Meanwhile, Pakistani shelling, which began at around noon on September 11 continued till 06:00 hours (IST).

Three civilians were injured in the Pakistani action, which witnessed the use of artillery, the sources said.
