India delaying talks because of domestic politics: Pak
Friday, September 12 2003 09:59 Hrs (IST)

Dhaka: Indian leaders are delaying talks with Pakistan because of domestic politics, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri said on September 11.

"We need to initiate a purposeful dialogue to resolve the Kashmir problem," Khursheed Kasuri told reporters. "But the proposed dialogue has become a hostage to India's internal politics and elections."

Kasuri accused Indian politicians of taking a tough stance against Pakistan to "win elections."
