Nasir had LeT links, planned more blasts: Police

Mumbai: Nasir Ahmed, a prime suspect in the twin blast on August 25 in the metropolis who was killed in a police encounter on September 12 night, was found to have links with the Laskhar-e-Toiba and had planned bomb blasts in other parts of the city, police sources said on September 13.

Police has recovered important documents, gelatin sticks and detonators from the Nasir and his accomplice, who were killed in the encounter at Matunga in Central Mumbai, according to Joint Commissioner Satyapal Singh.

The identity of the second accused, however, is yet to be established, he added.
