'Russia ready to form axis with India, Israel'

Moscow: Russia has said it was not concerned at India-Israel bonhomie and the announcement of the
India-Israel-US "virtual axis".
Commenting on Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's recent visit to India, Russian First Deputy Foreign
Minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov said, "We are not concerned at it, at least at the political part of the visit.
We ourselves are ready to form Russia-India-Israel anti-terror axis."
"Although, economically it causes some concern to us," he acknowledged in obvious reference to the
major Israeli breakthrough in Defence sales to India.
Israel has in recent years emerged as India's second largest Defence supplier after Russia and with the
sale of Phalcon radars and Arrow ABM systems it can overtake it, at least in money terms.
