Mattan (Kashmir): Asserting that cross border infiltration was continuing, Defence Minister George Fernandes on September 14 said security forces will give a befitting reply to the stepped up violence by militants in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The security forces are giving and will continue to give a befitting reply to the attacks by militants," Fernandes told reporters after laying the foundation stone of a housing complex for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Mattan.

The Defence Minister said cross border infiltration of militants was continuing unabated.
