Islamabad: Pakistan on September 15 dismissed as "ridiculous" India's offer that Islamabad join it in the
fight against terrorism and accused New Delhi of unleashing an "apparatus of repression" in Kashmir.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Masood Khan told reporters that Indian External Affairs Minister Yashwant
Sinha's remarks made at India-Pak Business Forum in New Delhi on September 14 suggesting Pakistan
join fight against terrorism is "ridiculous".
Accusing India of being a "hegemonistic and ambitious" power, Khan said India should not suffer
from "delusion" by equating itself with the United States. "In that sense, this proposal is ridiculous. You
cannot become a partner with a state terrorist. They have to roll back their aggression."
Khan contradicted remarks reportedly made by Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri,
currently visiting Colombo, calling for deployment of troops from South Asian Association for Regional
Co-operation (SAARC) countries along the Line of Control for stabilisation operations.
