Hawala operator supplying money to Jaish arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police on September 16 arrested a hawala operator who allegedly funded a Jaish-e-
Mohammad (JeM) militant for carrying out terrorist activities in the capital.
Rajinder Prasad (51), a resident of Pitampura having office in Karol Bagh, was apprehended by police
for providing Rs 20 lakh to JeM militant Noor Mohammad Tantray on August 27, Additional DCP (Special
Cell), Neeraj Kumar told reporters.
Tantray, along with his associates Pervez Ahmad and Feroze Ahmad were arrested on August 30 with a
large quantity of arms and ammunition in Sadar Bazar area of the capital.
Police also recovered 10 hand grenades, an equal number of grenade shells and one barrel grenade
launcher from them.
Pakistani national Zahoor Ahmad and Habibullah, killed in an encounter with police at Indraprastha Park
in New Delhi on Aug 30, were also part of this plan to carry out subversive activities, Kumar said.
