Pak shelling targets fencing work in Rajouri

Jammu: Pakistani troops on September 17 fired mortar bombs targeting border fencing work along the line of control (LoC) in Rajouri-Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said in Jammu.

The firing was targeted at damaging the erected fencing and disrupting the fencing work along the LoC in Jangard, Romlidhara, Kalsian, Kalal, Jallas, Krishnaghati, Balnoi, Laam, Bhawani and Choki Chora of Rajouri-Poonch sector, the sources said.

The shelling, which began around 07:00 hrs continued till 10:30 hours, they said.

There was no damage or casualty in the shelling in the area, the sources said, adding Indian troops retaliated.

There was also small arms fire in some areas along the international border in R S Pura and Samba areas of Jammu sectors, the sources said, adding there was no casualty.
