Rae Bareilly: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani was on September 19 discharged by a special court in the Ayodhya demolition case, while charges will be framed against Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi and some others.

Special judge V K Singh, giving his ruling directed all the accused against whom charges were being framed to appear before court on October 10.

He also quashed the chargesheet against Advani.

Apart from Joshi, those against whom charges would be framed are Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Uma Bharti and Vinay Katiyar, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders Ashok Singhal, Acharya Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya and Sadhvi Rithambhara.

Mridul Rakesh, Counsel for all the accused, said he would challenge the verdict if his clients wanted such a line of action. He would have to talk to them, he said.
