Friday, September 19 2003 19:11 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Delphi Technical Centre, the Bangalore-based largest technical centre of the American auto component major, plans to increase its engineer strength to 360 from the existing 260 professionals by the end of 2004.

"The centre was set up in 2000 and has almost doubled in size and scope since then…and has emerged as the largest Delphi technical centre outside of the US. The centre currently employs 260 engineers and plans to increase this number to 360 engineers by the end of 2004," a company statement said on September 19.

The ramp-up of the facility was made after an appraisal of the centre along with other centres in the world, which has achieved the CMM Level 3 assessment, it said.
