27 killed in train-bus collision in Pakistan

Islamabad: At least 27 people, including two women, were killed and scores of others injured when a
train rammed into a bus at an unmanned crossing point in Pakistan's Eastern Punjab province on
September 20.
The Chenab Express, heading towards Sargodha city in Punjab, ploughed into a passenger bus near
Malikwal town at 08:23 hours (IST), the division railway superintendent told state-run Pakistan
Television.
The bus, carrying mostly students, teachers and traders to Sargodha, was completely destroyed in the
accident, he said. All those who died were travelling in the bus. The driver of the train engine was
injured.
Volunteers of relief agency Edhi Trust, who rushed to the accident site soon after the accident to help
the victims, said 10 of those killed have been identified.
The injured have been shifted to a local hospital.
Doctors said none were in a critical condition.
