5 militants gunned down in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar: Five militants, mostly foreign nationals, were killed in a gunbattle with security forces in South Kashmir's Pulwama district early September 20, Defence sources said.

The gunbattle broke out at Imamsahib in Shopian area, some 60 km from Srinagar, when troops engaged in combing operation noticed a group of militants and challenged them, the sources said.
