Legal action after studying Ayodhya verdict: Advani
Tuesday, September 23 2003 11:30 Hrs (IST)

On Board Special Aircraft: With the party yet to sort out the problem arising out of HRD (Human Resource Development) Minister Murli Manohar Joshi's resignation from the government, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on September 23 said BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) will decide on the legal course of action after studying the Rae Bareli court judgement which discharged him but decided to frame charges against Joshi and six others in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

"We are expecting to get the detailed judgement in a day or two (today or tomorrow). We will sit together and discuss the legal options which can be taken in the matter," he told reporters on board a flight to Bastar where he will lay the foundation stone of a steel plant of National Mineral Development Corp.

However, Advani parried a question whether he was personally going to meet Joshi, who had resigned in wake of court framing charges against him.

Advani said his rath yatra in 1990 from Somnath to Ayodhya was an "eye opener" and made him understand what was the place of religion in the minds of the countrymen.
