Advani terms Bush's UN address 'disappointing'
Wednesday, September 24 2003 16:42 Hrs (IST)

On Board Special Aircraft: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on September 24 termed as "disappointing" the failure of US President George W Bush to mention India as one of the terror victims in his address to the UN General Assembly.

"It is disappointing," Advani said while talking to a group of reporters accompanying him to Cochin where he would attend the 50th birthday celebrations of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi.

Bush had mentioned Bali, Casablanca, Riyadh, Jakarta and Jerusalem as places which were victims of terrorism.

On the admission by a Pakistani minister that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was in Karachi, Advani said, "It is an admission by the state itself about what India has been saying for a long time."
