Kashmir row cannot be resolved through terrorism: EU
Wednesday, September 24 2003 11:21 Hrs (IST)

United Nations: Observing that the Kashmir issue cannot be resolved through violence or terrorism, the European Union on September 23 asked India and Pakistan to pursue a "process of political dialogue" to arrive at a solution.

The two countries should hold dialogue to arrive at an agreement satisfactory to all parties on "all controversial points", Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said in his address to the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of the European Union.

He also asked the two countries to adhere to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.
