New York: Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has said that he is not keen to meet Prime
Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, if the latter does not so desire.
"I do not want rub shoulders with someone who does not want it," he said at a press conference after his
meeting with US President George W Bush.
The Pakistan President reiterated his proposal for initiation of a peaceful composite dialogue with India
to address outstanding issues, particularly "the core issue" of Jammu and Kashmir.
On his talks with the US President, he said, "We have trust on each other and President understands
this completely."
Answering a question on the activities of al-Qaida and Taleban in Pakistan, he said operations to
remove their remnants were going on actively. Operations required hard human intelligence as these
groups operated in small numbers, he added.
On Osama bin Laden, he said Pakistan did not know his exact location if he is hiding in the Pakistan side
of the border.
He denied that leaders of al-Qaida and Taleban roamed around freely. "There is nothing of the sort," he
said, adding that Pakistan has done its utmost in the fight against terrorism.
