Madhumita murder: Amarmani undergoes Lie Detector test
Monday, September 29 2003 18:53 Hrs (IST)
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh legislator Amarmani Tripathi, the main accused in the Madhumita Shukla
murder case, underwent a lie-detector test on September 29, CBI said.
The former minister in Mayawati Cabinet gave in writing to the CBI on September 28 evening his
acceptance to undergo the test.
The polygraphy test would help the sleuths in finding the wrong statements that he would have made
during his nine-day custody with the CBI.
Tripathi was first explained the significance of the polygraphy test and the method with which it works
before the hours-long quizzing by senior officials of the CBI began, the sources said.
