Pak's tirade against India product of sick mind: Sinha

New York: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's tirade against India at the United Nations "clearly"
shows that Islamabad is neither sincere nor serious about peace or dialogue with New Delhi, External
Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha has said.
But still, India would continue its efforts to initiate a dialogue with Pakistan. "We never thought peace
with Pakistan is going to be easy. However, we will continue to try," he added.
Speaking at the end of his 10-day visit to New York, during which he had several high-level bilateral and
trilateral discussions, Sinha said at his meeting earlier in September with CEOs from Pakistan, he had
told them Pakistan's behaviour at the United Nations would be a test case whether Islamabad is serious
about the peace process or not.
"Unfortunately, it has failed in that test," he emphasised.
Sinha said he had specifically told the CEOs that accusing and abusing each other at international
forums presented a "sad spectacle".
His remarks, he said, were in the context of Musharraf's anti-Indian utterances at the United Nations in
2002 and later at other forums including the non-aligned summit.
Asked about remarks of Pakistan's United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram in the United Nations
General Assembly during which he described India as "mother of all terrorism", Sinha said, "That was a
statement of a sick mind. It was a product of a sick mind."
Even in 2002, he had emitted what was "pure poison" and he has done it this year too. "That is why I call
it a product of a sick mind," he said.
