'Don't blame India for Commonwealth entry denial'
Tuesday, September 30 2003 22:53 Hrs (IST)

Islamabad: Flaying Pakistan government for holding India solely responsible for Commonwealth's refusal to re-admit Pakistan, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) said on September 30 that the pro-military regime should take the blame for not maintaining minimum acceptable standards for Pakistan being called a civilised country.

Reacting to comments by Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Masood Khan terming India being "bloody- minded" for opposing Pakistan's re-entry into Commonwealth, PPP Information Secretary Taj Haider said in a statement that the Pakistan government's response was immature and regrettable.
