Kashmir issue to figure in Bush-Jamali talks
Wednesday, October 1 2003 22:56 Hrs (IST)

Washington: US President George W Bush and Pakistan Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali will discuss the situation in Kashmir and efforts to stabilise Pakistan's border with Afghanistan, the White House said on October 1.

"The President will emphasise the need for dialogue between India and Pakistan" and he and Jamali will have lunch in the White House residence, Bush spokesman Scott Mcclellan told reporters.

"They will continue to discuss co-operation in the war on terrorism, including co-operation in fighting terror on the Pakistan/Afghanistan border area," Mcclellan said.

The two leaders were also to discuss "regional issues, such as Kashmir".
