New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on October 1 night briefed President A P J Abdul Kalam on his recent visit to Turkey and New York, where he addressed the United Nations General Assembly.

The 50-minute-meeting was described as part of a regular interaction between the two leaders by a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman.

Vajpayee is also believed to have informed the President of the discussions he held with world leaders, including US President George W Bush, with whom he had a luncheon meeting.
