Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who escaped a landmine blast on
October 1 evening, is being shifted to Hyderabad from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences
(SVIMS) in Tirupati on October 2.
"Naidu and his minister B Gopalkrishna Reddy, who had also received injuries in the blast yesterday, are
being taken to the state capital," SVIMS sources said.
The Chief Minister is feeling better on October 2, they said.
Meanwhile, condition of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA R Rajashekhar Reddy, who was seriously
injured, has improved and he has regained consciousness, the sources added.
Naidu had survived an assassination bid in a series of landmine blasts, triggered by naxalites at the
foothills of the famous Venkateswara temple, which left Rajashekhar Reddy critically injured.
Four others, including Gopalkrishna Reddy and one more MLA, were injured in the remote controlled
blasts set off allegedly by outlawed People's War Group (PWG) near the Alipiri toll gate on the ghat road
to the temple.
