President, PM, CMs and leaders call on Naidu

Hyderabad: President A P J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Congress President
Sonia Gandhi, Chief Ministers of various states, industrialists and Union Cabinet Ministers on October 2,
called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who survived an assassination attempt,
on phone to enquire about his health.
Anxious public figures and industrialists enquired about his health and wished him speedy recovery, a
spokesman of the chief minister's office said in Hyderabad.
Chief Ministers Jayalalitha, Digvijay Singh, S M Krishna, Narendra Modi, Mulayam Singh Yadav,
Omprakash Chowtala, Ajit Jogi, N D Tiwari, Naveen Patnaik, Buddadev Bhattacharya, Amrinder Singh
and Ashok Gehlot were among those who rang up Naidu's residence to wish him speedy recovery.
Former Prime Ministers V P Singh, H D Deve Gowda, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Najma Heptulla,
scores of Union Ministers, industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Dr Anji Reddy and Nandakumar also enquired
about Naidu's health, the spokesman said.
Naidu, who suffered injuries on his chest, nose and fractured his right shoulder in a landmine blast at
Tirupati on October 1, was advised complete rest and few people were allowed inside his room, the
spokesman added.
