Friday, October 3 2003 15:47 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: A high-level committee, headed by former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ramrao Adik, was constituted on October 3 by the state Congress to go into Solapur Lok Sabha by-poll debacle.

The committee, set up by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ranjeet Deshmukh, has senior state leaders Prataprao Bhosale, N M Kamble and Ishaq Jamkhanawala as its members, party sources said.

Deshmukh, who is in Delhi to apprise the party high command on the "likely factors" resulting in the defeat of the Congress nominee, has asked the committee to submit its report within three weeks.
