Hyderabad: Police officers are suspecting the involvement of Patel Sudhakar Reddy, a top leader of
People's War Group (PWG) in the attack on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Known for his guerilla
tactics, Sudhakara Reddy has been active in People's War attacks for the last one decade.
Hailing from drought-prone Mahaboobnagar district, Sudhakar Reddy is also reportedly the mastermind
behind the killing of Panchayat Raj Minister A Madhava Reddy in March 2000 in the outskirts of
Hyderabad.
Sudhakar Reddy was arrested a few years ago from a PW hideout in Bangalore, where police found
huge arms. He was released on conditional bail and went underground. Sudhakar, who always carries a
laptop computer, is now a member of Andhra State Committee of PWG.
The attack on Chandrababu Naidu once again proved the expertise of People's War in hitting VIP
targets with claymore mines.
