Disinvestment: Govt to seek clarification from SC

New Delhi: The government on October 3 night decided to approach the Supreme Court for clarification
on certain aspects of the judgement halting privatisation of two oil PSUs (public sector undertakings) –
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
The decision was taken at a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Disinvestment, chaired by Prime Minister
Atal Behari Vajpayee on October 3 night.
