CISF jawan Namdeo who shot dead senior gets bail

Mumbai: A sessions court on October 6 granted bail to dismissed Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan Rajnarayan Namdeo, who had shot dead his senior at airport four months ago.

The bail was granted by sessions judge N D Deshpande in the sum of Rs 10,000.

Namdeo is charged with gunning down Deputy Commandant A Karanjkar on May 24 and holding six others hostage before surrendering to police.

Police filed chargesheet against him on August 22 and charged him with Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 342 (wrongful confinement).
