Two LeT militants, jawan killed, 4 injured in JK

Jammu: Two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants and a jawan were killed and four Armymen injured in a
fierce gun battle in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on October 7, official sources said.
Acting on a tip off about presence of militants in Naka Manjari forest belt of Poonch district, troops
launched a cordon and search operation in the area late on October 6 night, the sources said.
Militants, who had taken positions near a hill top, ambushed them, the sources said, adding Army troops
retaliated and heavy exchange of fire took place.
In the gun battle which ended on October 7 morning, two LeT militants from Pakistan were killed, the
sources said, adding a jawan also lost his life while others were injured, one of them critically.
The injured jawans have been admitted to Poonch military hospital, whereas the body-less heads of the
two militants recovered from the area after the gun battle were handed over to Surankote police by
Army.
