France shows keen interest to invest in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The French Ambassador to India Dominique Girard on October 7 said France was interested in investing in industries and other potential sectors in Kerala.

Talking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram, Girard, who is on a three-day visit to the state, said he would be holding talks with the Chief Minister A K Antony later tonight (Oct 7).

Girard commended the achievements of Kerala in education, tourism and agriculture sectors.

The French Ambassador's main engagement in the state was the inauguration of a seminar on 'climatic changes and variations in the monsoon', organised by the Indo-French Centre for Research on Environment and Climate at Munnar on October 6.

Girard would meet the state Governor Sikander Bakht on October 8 before leaving for Delhi.
