singer Daler Mehndi in New Delhi in connection with a cheating and fraud case registered against him
and four others, including his brother Shamsher Singh, who is in police custody.
The police party from Patiala also raided the premises, in three different places of Delhi, owned by three
others - Tejinder Laddi, Surender Singh and Harcharan Singh, who have

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patiala Paramraj Singh told reporters in Chandigarh that a
computer and some records have been seized from the Connaught Place office of Daler Mehndi. His
locker in a bank in Delhi has been frozen, he added.
Singh said that as Mehndi had levelled "false and baseless" allegations of Patiala Police demanding Rs
1.50 crore, the case has been transferred to Sangrur Police.
He said that 11 more complaints have been received raising the total number of complaints to 27. Two
alleged victims from Canada had also approached him with similar complaints, he said adding that they
had been asked to make a formal
complaint.
Shamsher Singh, Mehndi and others have been charged with cheating people on the promise of taking
them abroad as part of their troupe.
The case was registered on the complaint of one Bakshish Singh, a resident of Belwara in Chandigarh
district, who alleged that he had paid Rs 13 lakh out of the Rs 15 lakh demanded for sending him
abroad. But he was not sent as promised.
