Former NC minister in JK booked in land scam

Srinagar: In the first action against a minister of erstwhile National Conference government, Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Bureau on October 8 booked former Housing and Urban Development Minister Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah and three top officials in a land scam.

A first information report (FIR) had been filed against Shah, Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly and senior-most NC leader, then Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, then vice chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and former JDA secretary for allegedly abusing their official position and causing loss to the state exchequer, an official spokesman said.
