Delhi court summons Jogi for tarnishing govt's image

New Delhi: A Delhi court on October 8, took cognisance of the charge sheet filed against Chattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi for allegedly tarnishing the image of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Central government and summoned him on November 18.

"Considering the entire documents and material placed on record before me, I take cognisance of the charge sheet filed against Ajit Jogi for the offences under section 471 read with 465 and 469 of Indian Penal Code (IPC)," Metropolitan Magistrate Shahabuddin said in his order.

The summons has to be served through the investigating officer in the case, the court said.
