CBI raids residence of former UP CM Mayawati

New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on October 8 carried out raid at over a dozen places, including the residence of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in connection with the controversial Taj Heritage Corridor project.

The raids were being carried out in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh against Mayawati and some of the bureaucrats named by CBI in its first information report (FIR) filed on October 6.

CBI sources said they would seek help of Income Tax department as well if the need arose.
