7 terrorists killed in JK; infiltration bid foiled

New Delhi: Army troops killed seven terrorists, foiling an infiltration bid by Pakistan on the line of control
in Jammu and Kashmir since October 8.
The troops foiled the infiltration bid in Keran sector of Kupwara district on October 8 evening killing two
terrorists, an official statement said on October 9, adding 18 grenade-launchers, one rocket-launcher
and one AK 47 rifle were seized from the slain militants.
On a tip-off in Anantnag district, the troops assisted by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, laid a
cordon at a suspected hideout in Sund Brar area on October 8 night killing three terrorists, the
statement said.
It said in two separate encounters in Baramulla and Pulwama districts, one terrorist each was killed after
a firefight with the troops. Two AK rifles and six grenades were recovered from them.
