Palestinian Prime Minister tenders resignation

Ramallah: Ahmed Qorei, Palestinian Prime Minister tendered his resignation on October 9 even as the Parliament session in which he was to unveil his new government's programme was postponed, reports said.

"Ahmed Qorei has submitted his resignation to the President," the sources told reporters.

It was not immediately clear if Arafat had accepted the resignation, which comes just four days after Qorei was installed by the Palestinian leader in a Presidential decree.
