BSNL telephone exchange damaged in fire

Jammu: A high power satellite telephone exchange of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited was damaged in a fire in militancy infested Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir with police not ruling out sabotage.

The fire that broke out in the three-storeyed wooden structure in Bani area destroyed equipments worth about Rs one crore snapping ties to nearly 500 subscribers, official sources said.

Police did not rule out sabotage as the area is infested with militants.
