New Delhi: Continuing its attack on Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and holding him responsible for the repression against Rambhaktas in Ayodhya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on October 14 asked the Centre to take immediate steps to shed its "anti-Hindu" image.

Spelling out its three-point demand, VHP central secretary Surendra Jain told reporters that the Centre should get released all "Rambhaktas" from jail immediately, restore rail services in Ayodhya and withdraw paramilitary forces from the area.

"The Centre has crossed all limits in its repression on Rambhaktas to present an anti-Hindu image," he said, adding that for this the Centre was more responsible compared to UP government.

Recalling that during the 1990 movement, rail routes were changed to prevent "Ramsevaks" from going to Ayodhya but they reached, he said, adding they would do so there now also and return after "darshan" of Ramlalla.

Replying to a question, Jain said it was not true that the Centre was not told about VHP's programme.

The programme was given to the government and "if it is denying, it is doing so to hide its failure".

Taking a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he said it should have come out openly on the issue if its attitude was different from that of the government.
