BSE: Sensex shows signs of fresh rally

Mumbai: After a sharp slide on October 14, the SENSEX once again showed signs of a fresh rally after
opening on a promising note on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on October 15 continued flow of
foreign investments.
The BSE Benchmark 30-share Index opened better at 4782.03 as against October 14's close of
4782.03 and later firmed up to a high at 4820.31 before being quoted at 4815.80 at 10.30 A M.
Influenced by a net investments of Rs 441 crore by Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) on October 13,
the market again has turned bullish, market sources said adding that the
market is likely to stage a recovery if domestic funds led by the Unit Trust of India which have sold off
shares valued at Rs 200 crore, do not continue their sell-off.
Index-based counters like Grasim Ind, BHEL, BSES, Cipla, HCL Tech, HLL, Infosys Tech, ITC, Ranbaxy
Lab, RIL, Satyam Computers, SBI, Tata Motors, Tisco and Zee Telefilms were quoted substantially
up.
Among the top gainers, Adlabs were quoted up by 6.49 per cent, Exide Ind by 6.13 per cent, TN Petro
by 5.67 per cent, Hughes Software by 5.36 per cent, Hexaware by 4.80 per cent, Kotak Mahindra by
4.76 per cent, Corporation Bank by 4.47 per cent, Bank of Baroda by 3.65 per cent, Raymond by 2.90
per cent and Sun Pharma by 2.85 per cent.
However, L&T, HPCL, Nestle and few others showed marked falls due to selling pressure.
